art is defined by many factors. Cultural focus is one way. 'CultureBag' makes
culture portable. "CultureBag" is the delivery service for fine art.
It is a show which includes dried raw vegetables on gallery walls."
Alfons Koller is President of
M.C.S.A (Multifunctional Conceptual Systems of Art). The artist Is known for his
installation environments in which the theme is often humorous and culturally defining.
Expectations and the consumer's mentality is taken to task-in a keenly observant
and challenging ways.
Alfons lives in Winnenden, Germany, and has lived, studied, and exhibited in Chicago
at various venues including: Beret International Gallery, Tough Gallery, Flo'tilla and
Randolph Street Gallery. He studied at the School of the Art Institute, and holds a
Masters of Fine Arts from the Akademie der bildenden Kunste, Stuttgart. In addition,
he is in numerous collections, and has received awards including: German Scholarship to
the USA, the Community Arts Assistance Award (CAAP) from the Chicago Dept. of Cultural
Affairs, and project support and award from the foundation of the Wurttemberger
Hypothekenbank.
